How to Prompt Android to Check For Latest Updates

Usually to check new updates for your Android mobile phone, you have to go to Settings menu - About phone - Check for system updates. Then the phone will look for the updates, but, it will not work always as we expect.

This is because there might be a time lag between the carrier’s release of the update and the moment you check for the update in question. For instance, you have been informed of Android bug fixes and when you do check for the update, there is no such update available.

To recover from such update problems you can go for another option, which allows you to get real time update for Android.

To do this, type-in: *#*#checkin#*#*; substituting the dial pad numbers for the letters. (Via)
